If you're anything like me then you know that the cool place to be Thursday nights is in front of your telly-tube watching LOST. Unfortunately, season 4 is over and us LOST fiends wont be getting any fresh shows to fight off the withdrawal until January 2009.

(at least The Office will be back with season 5 in September)

So what are we going to do in the mean time? Here are some recommendations to get you through the Summer. After that, your on your own. Needless to say, you should add USA to your controllers favorites list.

1. My Boys - TBS (season premiered June 12th) - This has been the sleeper horse for me. I hadn't watched previous seasons but when I did I found them to be quite hilarious.

2. Burn Notice - USA - Season 1 was considered one of the top shows of 07. Season 2 should be as good or better.

3. Psych - USA - Reruns didn't do so hot on NBC but I have no doubt that a new season on its homefield at USA will prove its worth.

And if all else fails, make sure your guns tucked conveniently away under your pillow and hunker down for hours upon hours of solving the case with USA's Law & Order marathons. They're always sure to please.

Not that I'm a college student anymore, but when I was a resident scholar at good ole Tufts University I didn't tend to boast a fat wallet. So I got a good college job managing the event-staff of students for Tufts' department of Student Activities. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the hardest job I've ever had by a long shot. Hanging out with my friends at concerts, dances, and group events is fun, especially when your getting paid. My last year at Tufts, though, the Office of Student Activities ended up having some budget cuts and lowering our already-miniscule wages. I just found out why and it sure aint pretty. Kids, take heed: stealing is naughty. Article linked.

So this weekend I went to go see wall-e with the misses. Not surprisingly, it was a good movie. Let's be serious, Pixar reeks of awesomeness. And why shouldn't they? With beginnings stemming from the infamous Lucas Films (who dropped the ball by dropping Pixar from the team) and a top animation visionary in the way of John Lasseter, they had to be successful. And oh yea, did I forget to mention an angel investor by the name of Steve Jobs. Someone would have really had to have pulled a Dumb and Dumberer and botched a sure-thing.

Anywhoo...I can't help but think that the animators at Pixar might have been inspired by another lovable, wide-eyed robot from the 80's. If you're 12 years old and don't know what I'm talking about, go pick up Short Circuits 2. Great movie.

The chase scene at the end is sick too. Enjoy.
